ENCDC DONATES HOUSEHOLD ITEMS

TO COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER

 

          The Encinitas and North Coast Democratic Club, along with the Carlsbad Dems, recently donated two carloads of household items to Community Resource Center in Encinitas. The two local clubs co-sponsored “Share the Kindness,” a fall donation drive in which members contributed personal and household supplies.

          “The CRC staff is very grateful to the clubs for helping support our efforts to assist families in North County,” said Yanira Alonso, Food and Nutrition Program Manager at CRC.

“The personal care items help households save money so they can use their limited budgets to pay rent and utilities, making it possible for them to remain in their homes,” she said.

          Community Resource Center was established in 1979 by community and business leaders to address homelessness and food insecurity. CRC programs also include rental assistance and shelter, transportation assistance, employment programs, counseling and more.  For more information about CRC: https://crcncc.org
